Change of Season Skincare - Gisborough Hall

Change of Season means Change of Skincare

With winter here, it’s that time of year to overhaul your skincare routine in preparation for the new season.  As we turn on the heating (or maybe not this year!) our skin will need that extra boost of hydration and nourishment to see us through until spring.

Here are our top tips to keep your skin looking fresher from top to toe.

Double cleanse

Cleansing is an essential step in keeping your skin healthy and free from impurities. By cleansing twice, the skin is perfectly prepared for the products in the next step in your routine.

The initial cleanse will work deep in the skin to breakdown make-up, dirt and pollutants.

The second cleanse follows with a treatment cleanser to work on your skin concerns for example fine lines and wrinkles, blemishes, dryness or a dull skin.

We recommend using twice daily:

Initial cleanse – Elemis Pro-collagen Cleansing Balm

Second cleanse – Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter/Dynamic Resurface wash/Pro-Collagen Energising Marine Cleanser

Tone

Toning the skin is an important (and regularly skipped) step in your skincare routine. A toner will help balance the PH in the skin as well helping to hydrate and refresh it.

We recommend using twice daily:

Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner

Exfoliate

Exfoliators and skin peels are designed to prepare the surface of the skin for follow products, to enable them to penetrate deeper. By removing the dead skin cells, not only will your skin look smooth and radiant, but it will also feel amazing.

We recommend using twice a week:

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel

Elemis Pro-collagen Tri-Acid Peel

Moisturise

A  good moisturiser is the most important part of your skincare routine. This is your layer of added hydration and protection against the elements.

We recommend using twice daily:

Elemis award winning Pro collagen Marine Cream

Mask

The correct mask is another important step in your skincare routine which is often eliminated. Essential for healthy skin, using the correct mask for your skin concerns, your skin is left looking clear, radiant and deeply nourished.

We recommend using weekly:

Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Gel Mask/Pro Collagen Marine Mask/Superfood Vital Veggie Mask/Herbal Lavender mask.

Keep hydrated

Make sure you keep up your fluid intake 6-8 glasses of water a day.
