A jewel in the crowning countryside. A pleasant surprising find in Yorkshire. Wonderful first impression as you drive up, a stately home ambiance and a warm welcome all contributed to exceeding our expectations. The room was gorgeous, dining was pleasant and breakfast was ‘proper Yorkshire fayre’.

We had such a great stay here recently, we booked the fountain suite and we’re a little blown away at how lovely and big it is. We stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely, but it really feels more like a 5* luxury stay nowadays. Breakfast was great, staff were very attentive, drinks were fantastic, room service was fast and the food was piping hot and delicious. We’re really looking forward to staying here again soon!

Upon arrival we where greeted warmly by the smartly dressed staff. The interior is welcoming and the burning log fires made it cosy. The service and food was fantastic and rooms clean and comfy. The breakfast the next morning was delicious will definitely be staying there again. Absolutely recommend.

We have just returned from a four night break at this amazing hotel . This was our fourth visit and we are never disappointed. The staff in all areas are just brilliant and can’t do enough for you to make your stay exceptional. It would be wrong to name any particular members as everyone without exception are all smiles and professional. Our room in the main house was really lovely and different, with an exceptionally comfy bed. Food in both Chaloners and the bistro were up to the highest standards.
