The Timeless Tradition of a Finnish Sauna

The Timeless Tradition of a Finnish Sauna

The Timeless Tradition of a Finnish Sauna
Feel the comforting heat of a traditional Finnish sauna… wooden interiors, soft fluffy towels, and a gentle, radiating warmth as dry air wraps around you, with serene views across the spa garden and woodland treetops. At Sakura Spa, our Finnish sauna will offer a classic thermal experience that has been cherished for centuries, a sanctuary of heat, stillness and renewal.

Pure Heat Therapy

With a temperature between 80˚ – 90˚C and a dry heat environment with very low humidity, the Finnish sauna is designed to deliver deep, penetrating warmth. The heat relaxes tight muscles and joint stiffness and creates the perfect environment for full-body relaxation.

Circulation and Detoxification

As your body warms, blood vessels dilate, improving circulation and promoting the natural elimination of toxins through sweat. This process leaves you feeling revitalised, refreshed, and ready to continue your spa journey.

Boosting Your Mood and Mind

Time spent in the Finnish sauna isn’t just beneficial for your body — it’s also powerful for the mind. The quiet, dry heat encourages a state of mindfulness and mental clarity, reducing stress and leaving you with a calm, centred focus.

Enhancing Your Thermal Journey

Alternating between the intense heat of the sauna and a cool shower or outdoor air for a burst of contrast therapy — a practice beloved in Scandinavian spa culture. This hot-cold cycle stimulates circulation, boosts energy levels, and enhances your overall sense of wellbeing.

You will be able to embrace this timeless ritual at Sakura Spa as a part of your thermal garden experience.
