At Gisborough Hall, we are committed to ensuring that all our guests and visitors can enjoy a welcoming, safe, and inclusive experience.

We aim to provide a high standard of accessibility across our hotel, grounds, and services, and we continually review and improve our facilities to meet the needs of all our guests, including those with disabilities or additional requirements.

During the development of Gisborough Hall into a hotel, we did everything possible to make sure the facilities at out Grade II listed building were designed to be as accessible as possible for all guests.

Pre-Arrival

Parking and Arrival

  • Designated accessible parking spaces are located close to the entrance
  • Porter service is available to assist with luggage and access on arrival and departure

Public Areas

  • The Restaurant, bar, function rooms, conference rooms and public areas are all on the ground floor
  • Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor
  • Doorways are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs
  • Assistance dogs are welcome in all public areas and bedrooms

Accommodation

We offer accessible bedrooms that feature:

  • Widened door frames to allow easy access for wheelchair users 
  • grab rails in the bathroom 
  • Emergency pull cords next to the bed and in the bathroom
  • a ‘step in’ shower (the step is approximately 9 inches – the depth of the shower tray)
  • Assistance dogs are welcome 
  • A personal emergency evacuation plan is completed on check in to ensure we fulfil your requirements
  • All bedrooms have telephones and televisions with subtitle options.
  • Staff are happy to assist with any in-room requirements to enhance comfort and accessibility

Dining

  • Our restaurants, bars, and lounges are on the ground floor and accessible to wheelchair users
  • Menus can be provided in large print on request
  • Staff are trained to assist with menu navigation and dietary requirements

Staff Training

  • All team members receive regular training on accessibility awareness and disability etiquette
  • We aim to empower staff to offer assistance in a respectful and helpful manner
